Down Sierra Vest using 60/40 cloth made with jointly developed CORDURA® nylon.
Speaking of 60/40 cloth, SIERRA DESIGNS used it in their mountain parka in 1968, which became a sensation and is a synonym for SIERRA DESIGNS. It is made by weaving cotton for the weft and nylon for the warp in a ratio of 60:40.
60/40, woven with a combination of natural and chemical fibers, has a cotton-like feel, allows moisture to pass through, and has the characteristics of being durable and water-repellent like nylon.
This time, we have developed 60/40 cloth using INVISTA's CORDURA® nylon for the warp.
By using CORDURA® fabric, which is resistant to abrasion, tearing, and fraying, and provides excellent durability and sustainability for everyday use, we were able to create 60/40 cloth with superior tensile strength compared to the conventional 60/40.
The DOWN SIERRA VEST is a classic American casual down vest using 60/40.
The design is based on the DOWN SIERRA JACKET, and it features a high collar and volume.
