Don't have the exact date that this rod made, I'd date it back Early 1900's definitely before U.S. Occupied Japan. Only 1 small thing that I noticed is an issue. One part of the middle rod has some decorative string wrapped around the rod that has came lose. Can be fixed easily if you have the will to do it. Great piece for a Fishing Cabin or even on a wall at a fishing resort and or Bar.
