This first journey to Gastonia, North Carolina and the first dual-event trip would produce a weight of glory for what would further become Mount Hope Go, involving itself to much study of God's Word and history, as outlined in the places visited. The Schiele Museum of Natural History is a childhood stop for Author and Writer Matthew Pope, bringing to life the animals and the environments of North Carolina, as well as other geological features. Using dioramas to explain plant life and the fauna of North America, this personal collection of Bud Schiele, reveals a lifelong passion of investigating and investing in creation of all forms. Complete with a planetarium, an outdoor farm, Catawba Indian Village, and nature trail, the occupation of the day revolved around this attraction. As each exhibit hall would attest, the link between all of humanity and creature alike, is the soul, the spirit, the animation in us, given by Our Lord. What separates us is the nature: us putting off the old, and us taking on the new, being Partakers of The Divine Nature of Jesus. That same day, these men of God would attend a Honey Hunters game at CaroMont Field, and watch as the hometown would win before a rousing crowd in downtown Gastonia. God would prove faithful from origin to completion, even in a day, as He has done in all of eternity.
