This is a 501XX model from 1955, planned by Levi's Japan.
As they couldn't get permission to use the 501XX from the main company, this short-lived model was released under the 50s model (50S) number as a last resort.
It's a favorite in my collection, but I'm selling it because the size doesn't fit.
I think it's a valuable model now.
There is a stain next to the front button, and some fraying at the hem.
