For your consideration is this vintage plate produced by D'Arceau Limoges of France and distributed by the Bradford Exchange from 1984 until 1986. The back of this plate reads as follows "ASSIETTE / NUMERO / AE 388 / EDITION LIMITEE / PREMIERE / EDITION / PORCELAINE / DE LIMOGES, / FRANCE / DARCEAU LIMOGES (mfr logo) / 'L'IMPERATRICE JOSEPHINE' / Première assiette de la sèrie / Josèphine et Napolèon / 'Sans cesse je repasse dans ma mèmoire / tes baisers, tes larmes, ton aimable jalousie... / (tu allumes) sans cesse une flamme vive / et brulante dans mon coeur et dans mes sens.' / Napolèon, Lettre a Josèphine a Milan, / 17 juillet 1796 / BRADEX NO. 18-015-7.1". On the front is a painting of Josephine by C. Boulme and reads "L'Imperatrice Josephine" underneath. There is a lovely green border with alternating eagles and honey bees. The plate measures 8.5 inches in diameter. There are no chips, cracks or abrasions and the motif is crisp and vibrant. Great vintage piece.
