Spectacular 5 stone Rainbow Fire Topaz silver necklace 20" Vintage
Daring piece of statement jewelry, not for the shy. Brilliant in so many ways of colors, sparkles, reflections, absolutely stunning.
Each one inch stone was set by hand in 925 stamped silver. Lobster closure. 1.5" pendant drop.
Rainbow topaz is a semi-precious gemstone which is not naturally occurring but created artificially. But the process does use natural topaz to create dazzling rainbow effect over the stone. The process of creating this beautiful gemstone is known as vacuum deposition.
I own both Rainbow Fire Topaz and Mystic Fire Topaz and found that the Rainbow variety didn't fade over time as did the Mystic.
